About Bugderm Cream

BECLOMETASONE+CLOTRIMAZOLE+NEOMYCIN is a combination of medicine primarily used to treat various fungal and bacterial skin infections. It treats skin inflammation due to allergies or irritants, eczema (inflamed, itchy, cracked and rough skin patches), psoriasis (skin cells multiply rapidly to form bumpy (uneven) red patches covered with white scales), insect bites and stings. BECLOMETASONE+CLOTRIMAZOLE+NEOMYCIN also effectively treats oropharyngeal candidiasis (also known as oral thrush, a fungal infection caused by yeast in the mouth) and vaginal yeast infections. Bacterial infection occurs when harmful bacteria grow in the body and causes infection. Fungal infection is caused when a fungus invades and affects the tissue on the skin.

BECLOMETASONE+CLOTRIMAZOLE+NEOMYCIN is composed of three medicines: Clotrimazole (antifungal), Neomycin (antibiotic) and Beclometasone (steroid). Clotrimazole is an antifungal medication that treats fungal infections, such as vaginal yeast infections, oral thrush, athlete's foot, jock itch and ringworm. It stops the growth of fungi by causing damage and leakage to the fungal cell membrane. Neomycin is an aminoglycoside antibiotic used in treating bacterial and fungal infections of the skin. It prevents the synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions and has broad-spectrum activity against aerobic Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. On the other hand, Beclometasone is a corticosteroid and blocks prostaglandin's production (chemical messengers) that make the affected area red, swollen and itchy. With its anti-inflammatory and vasoconstrictive properties, Beclometasone treats eczema (inflamed and itchy skin), psoriasis (skin cells build up and form scales and itchy, dry patches), and dermatitis (red and itchy skin).

Directions for Use

BECLOMETASONE+CLOTRIMAZOLE+NEOMYCIN is available in the form of topical (skin use) cream and ear drops. Cream: Apply a thin layer of cream with clean and dry hands on the skin's affected areas. You can also apply BECLOMETASONE+CLOTRIMAZOLE+NEOMYCIN with a piece of clean cotton wool or gauze swab. Gently rub the medicine into the skin until it is disappeared. Wash your hands before and after applying BECLOMETASONE+CLOTRIMAZOLE+NEOMYCIN on the affected areas unless the treatment is for hands. Ear drops: Do not touch the dropper and hold it close to the ear. Gently squeeze the dropper and put the drops inside the ear. Your doctor will advise the appropriate dose that suits your infection. BECLOMETASONE+CLOTRIMAZOLE+NEOMYCIN is for external use only. If the medicine gets into your eyes, nose, mouth or vagina, rinse with cold water.

Side Effects of Bugderm Cream

BECLOMETASONE+CLOTRIMAZOLE+NEOMYCIN has common side effects as every medicine does. Some side effects of BECLOMETASONE+CLOTRIMAZOLE+NEOMYCIN include erythema (redness of the skin), stinging, blistering, peeling, pruritus, urticarial (irritation of the skin causing an urge to scratch), itching, dryness, and burning sensation at the application site. These side effects usually go away during the treatment. If they persist longer or worsen, please consult your doctor.

Before using BECLOMETASONE+CLOTRIMAZOLE+NEOMYCIN, let your doctor know if have a history dehydration problems, cataract or glaucoma, diabetes, gastrointestinal diseases, hearing problems (ototoxicity), osteoporosis (weak and brittle bones), muscle weakness, liver and kidney diseases or allergic reactions to steroid medicines and antibiotics. Avoid smoking or going near naked flames since BECLOMETASONE+CLOTRIMAZOLE+NEOMYCIN can catch fire and burn easily. Beclometasone can affect the blood sugar levels, hence care should be taken in monitoring. Avoid applying BECLOMETASONE+CLOTRIMAZOLE+NEOMYCIN cream on the sunburns, lesions, blisters and open wounds. BECLOMETASONE+CLOTRIMAZOLE+NEOMYCIN is not for oral, ophthalmic (for the eye) or intravaginal use. Let your doctor know if you plan to become pregnant or already pregnant and a lactating mother. Neomycin may have harmful effects on the baby; hence BECLOMETASONE+CLOTRIMAZOLE+NEOMYCIN should be used with caution in pregnancy under your doctor's supervision. If you apply BECLOMETASONE+CLOTRIMAZOLE+NEOMYCIN to breasts or nipple for treatment, wash it off while nursing your baby.
